Replace main seals in Pardini K58

These pages show the process of stripping a Pardini K58 to replace the main compression seal. There is also a description of how to replace the other seals without photographs.

First of all on a clean bench remove the palm rest, which then allows access to the grip screw which can then be removed.
The front barrel protector shroud can be removed using a small slotted screwdriver.


Mark the position of the roll pin in the slots of the eccentric cocking lever link pin with a soft pencil.
Remove the circlip from the other end and remove the pin.


With the cocking lever out of the way remove the two small screws holding the barrel support to the fore end and slide the support from the barrel.
If there is a barrel weight slide it off the barrel also.


Obtain a wooden block with a 1/2 inch hole drilled in it and hold the breech cover pin (right side) over the hole.
With a suitable drift rod tap out the breech cover pivot pin from the left side.

Take care not to lose the spring (next pic)


...which is let into a housing on the right side of the gun.


Remove the grub screw which holds the barrel in front of the breech using an allen wrench.
