FWB model 80 partial strip

This Model 80 had a problem with its anti-recoil mechanism.


The cocking lever screw had come loose and was jamming afainst the lower (grip frame) part of the mechanism

The two parts of the sled mechanism are held together with two hex socket head screws at the rear...


... and two phillips head screws at the front.


To get the hex screws out you will need a shortened 3mm allen key.


The two parts separate cleanly with no bits flying out!


The cocking screw was screwed back up and the head sealed with polyurethane varnish. Loctite could also be used.


The sled sliding bars (four small round rods) have dri-slide moly applied to ensure smooth recoiling.
